Wound Care

  • Overview

Wound Care

Our Wound Clinic offers a unique program that provides care for chronic, non-healing wounds from a holistic medical approach using aggressive protocols. Underlying cases for failure of wounds to heal are explored and the concentrated efforts of the physicians and nursing staff that specialize in wound care management allows for the successful healing of the patients treated. We have physicians specialized in General, Vascular, Podiatric and Plastic Surgery and Endocrinology.

Chronic wounds seen at our Clinic are most commonly the result of:

  • Diabetes - American Diabetes Association
  • Immobility
  • Poor Circulation
  • Post-Traumatic Injury
  • Post-Surgical Issues
  • Peristomal
  • Wounds with Infection/Osteomyelitis

A referral to the Wound Clinic should be considered when a wound has not shown significant improvement within two weeks. The most up-to-date technologies, such as skin substitutes and negative pressure therapy, are utilized, as appropriate, to enhance wound healing and decrease healing time.

Wound care is most often covered in whole or part by:

  • Private Insurance
  • Medicare
  • Medicaid

You and your physician can call the Wound Clinic and the staff will be glad to schedule an appointment for you. They are available to answer your questions regarding insurance, our services and what to expect on your initial visit and follow-up care. For additional information and insurance verification, call 770-982-2330 and begin your healing today!
