Employee Appreciation & Recognition

At Eastside, we believe our employees are our most important asset. We strive to recognize the good works of our employees in a variety of ways. Some formal programs follow:

STAR Employee Award

Each leader has the opportunity to present their employee of the year to the leadership team. The employee receives a gift card and is recognized during a monthly Leadership Council meeting. Their picture is taken with leadership and placed in the employee newsletter.

Caught in the Act of Caring

This recognition is spearheaded by our Employer of Choice Committee. This monthly peer-to-peer recognition gives our employees the opportunity to nominate a co-worker for going the extra mile in their work at the hospital and is actively attended by the Employer of Choice Team and Senior Leadership.

Above and Beyond Employee Bonus Program

This is annual program recognizes those staff who go above and beyond in their service to our patients and their peers. Employees are nominated at the department level and are eligible to receive annual bonuses based on their exceptional performance.

Balloons and Candy

Many times leadership will receive letters from patients recognizing our staff for their exceptional care. We feel it is important to let our staff know the difference they are making in their patient’s lives. When letters or calls are received by management, staff is recognized on their units by the Senior Leadership team.
