Ribbon Cutting Celebration for Eastside Heritage’s New Senior Partial Hospital Program
December 20, 2011
Snellville, GA December 19, 2011 Eastside Heritage recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially announce the opening of their new Senior Partial Hospital Program.
Program Director, Ann Wilder states, “We have created a day program for senior adults that is highly structured and monitored by a physician. Our primary goal is to improve a person’s level of functioning, reduce any symptoms of depression, anxiety, grief issues and promote good mental health. It’s really an exciting opportunity for us.”
Each person is evaluated by a psychiatrist, a nurse, and a counselor. Once the assessments are completed, the individual attends groups that will focus on communication skills, problem solving and coping skills, interpersonal relationships, and goal setting. The program is open Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (excluding holidays). We are located at 2160 Fountain Drive, Snellville, GA 30078.
“We are so proud of the work done at Heritage and look forward to growing this program to accommodate the needs of Seniors in our community,” says CEO Kim Ryan.
Simply call our assessment center at 770-985-6470 and speak to one of our nurses or social workers. They will set up a free assessment and give you more information. Our assessment center can also provide information about other resources that are available in our community.
