Eastside Heritage Behavioral Health Center Launches Senior Partial Hospital Program (PHP)

Snellville, GA October 10, 2011 Eastside Behavioral Health Center has added a Senior Partial Hospital Program to the continuum of treatment. Ann Wilder, Program Director, says, “Our staff is trained in a positive reinforcement model which focuses on encouraging positive behaviors, attitudes, skills and strengths, while teaching the life and coping skills needed to live a full, enriched life”.
Wilder continues, “Sometimes people need assistance to help them through periods of anxiety, depression or adjustments to life’s changes. When these pressures become overwhelming for our seniors, there can a negative impact on their lives. At Eastside Heritage Behavioral Health, we offer professional help and support”.
This Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is a highly structured, physician-monitored program specifically designed for members of the senior population that are experiencing behavioral health issues and exhibit a willingness to actively participate in the treatment plan. The primary goal of the PHP is to improve a person’s level of functioning and reduce symptoms to promote good mental health.
This Program is conveniently located at the Eastside Heritage Center campus at 2160 Fountain Drive in Snellville, Georgia. The program runs Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., excluding holidays. For more information on this program, please contact our Assessment Office at 770-985-6470.
